Family Gathering Chili Cook-Off Celebrating Rick Elsey
The Chili Cook-Off is back! Join us on Sunday, October 26, from 4:30–6:30 p.m. in the Pavilion for an evening of great food, friendly competition, and fellowship. This year we’ll also celebrate our very own Rick Elsey and his retirement. Don’t miss this night of chili tasting, laughter, and honoring Rick’s faithful service at West End!
Mission Journey Lunch & Learn
Join us on Sunday, October 19, immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall for a Mission Journey Lunch & Learn. Keith Holloway, Brentwood’s Missions Mobilization Minister, will walk us through what mission journeys are, how to sign up, and what it’s like to GO and serve. If you’ve ever had questions or just want to learn more, this lunch is for you.
FAM Men’s Fire Pit Night
Join us for our annual Foster & Adoption Ministry Men’s Fire Pit Night on Saturday, October 18 from 6:30–8:30 p.m.! This is a relaxed evening for the men of our FAM community to gather around the fire, enjoy some good food, and connect with others who share a heart for fostering and adoption.
Parent-Child Dedication Orientation
Parent-Child Dedication is a special time for families to commit to raising their children in Christ-centered homes, while the church commits to walk alongside you. If you’re interested in dedicating your child, join us for the required Orientation on Sunday, October 19, from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. in Room 101. Parent-Child Dedication is available for any family with preschool-aged children (Birth–K) who have not previously been dedicated. We’ll talk through the foundations of family discipleship and walk you through scheduling the details of your child’s dedication. Both parents are encouraged to attend if possible.
Kids Glow Party
Grades 1–5, join us for a night of glowing fun! On Wednesday, October 29, from 6:30–7:45 p.m. in Room 201, we’ll celebrate the true Light of the world with games, laughter, and plenty of glow-in-the-dark fun. Don’t miss it!
