Family Gathering: Outdoor Worship, Baptisms, and Ice Cream
Gather with us on Sunday, August 9, from 6:30–8:00 p.m. at The Pavilion for a night of outdoor worship, baptisms, and ice cream. For the first time, we’ll take our music outside and lift our voices in praise for all our neighbors to hear! Stick around afterward to meet our adult group leaders and enjoy ice cream and fellowship together.
Mobile Food Pantry
The Church at West End is partnering with The Well Outreach to serve our community, and we need volunteers to help sort and distribute food for families in need. Join us at Mount Pleasant Middle School on Saturday, August 22, from 6:30–9:30 a.m. All ages welcome; every set of hands makes a difference!
Pizza & Prayers
Pizza & Prayers is a special moment for rising kindergartners and their families to celebrate a new season together. Sunday, August 2, from 12:15–1:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, enjoy pizza while parents pray over their rising kindergartners as they begin this exciting new adventure.
Next Gen Leader Training
All NextGen leaders are invited back for the fall kickoff on Wednesday, August 5, 6:00–8:00 p.m. at The Church at West End. We’ll start together with dinner in the Fellowship Hall, then split into breakouts specific to your ministry area. Register by August 4 so we can plan for dinner.
Guest Service Training
Save the date for Saturday, August 8, from 8:00–10:30 a.m., when we’ll equip everyone serving on our Parking Lot, Greeters, Welcome Desk, Ushers, Safety, or Medical teams.
Advancement Sunday
It’s time to move up! On Sunday, August 9, all Next Gen Sunday morning groups—Preschool, Kids, and Students—will promote to their next grade-level class. Be sure to check your child’s nametag carefully; classroom assignments may be new! If your child should not promote, please reach out to Lauren Denton.

Exploring Your Call
Do you sense God may be calling you into vocational ministry? Join us Tuesdays, August 18–September 8, from 6:00–7:30 p.m., for Exploring Your Call. This is a four-week study for anyone prayerfully weighing that next step: engaging in meaningful conversations about calling, character, spiritual gifting, and practical next steps in a Christ-centered, encouraging environment.
Coaching Foundations
Join us Friday, August 21, from 1:00–8:00 p.m. (dinner included), and Saturday, August 22, from 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. (lunch included), at the Brentwood Campus Welcome Center, as we explore what coaching is, how it differs from mentoring and counseling, and how coaching conversations can make you a more effective leader. This ICF-accredited course is essential for every leader and a prerequisite for our advanced class, Coaching Relationships.

Ready to grow in your understanding of Scripture and theology? Sign up for the Fall 2026 EQUIP courses at Brentwood Baptist, offered in partnership with Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Courses are available to students enrolled at SEBTS. Non-SEBTS students are welcome to audit the class for a fee of $50. This semester’s classes include Theology 1, Bible Exposition 1, and Old Testament 1.
Quarterly Business Report
In the third quarter of FY2026, the Trustees gathered for prayer, discussion, and decision-making around key strategic initiatives, including staff structure and role changes, updates on the Pursue Campaign, and future capital and ministry vision planning. During this quarter, 73 new members joined our church family, 96 people made professions of faith, and 58 were baptized. Average worship attendance reached 7,505, with 7,851 people engaged in groups. Prayer for the Persecuted Church | Sudan
This month, we’re praying for the persecuted church in Sudan, where ongoing civil war has placed believers—especially converts—at great risk. Pray for protection for those forced to flee, for peace in the midst of violence, and for the church to faithfully live as salt and light while pointing others to the peace of Jesus.
